This tool simplifies the removal and installation of the manual shaft (shift lever) seal without the need to drain the transmission fluid.

Key Usage Tips:

1. Getting the Tool to Bite the Old Seal:
• Step 1: If space allows, tap the tool with a hammer to start, then thread it the rest of the way.
• Step 2: Use a C-clamp to press the tool into the seal while turning it with a wrench.
• Step 3: Apply downward pressure with a pry bar while turning the tool with a wrench.

Installing the New Seal:

• If you can’t use a hammer, a C-clamp or ball joint press can press the tool and seal it into place.

Ease of Use:

• The process is straightforward if the transmission is out of the vehicle. However, it can be done using the methods mentioned without removing the transmission.

• Suitable for Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler transmissions: 727 (36RH, 37RH), 904, 46RE/RH, 47RE/RH, 48RE/RH from 1962 to the mid-1980s.
